Tanasbourne Neighborhood Health Center
Hillsboro, OR
13,225 sq. ft.
This neighborhood clinic focuses on providing both medical and dental care to community members that may have limited or no insurance. Many principles of LEED design were incorporated such as energy measures and requests for recycled content in materials, even though the owner chose not to pursue accreditation. Sustainability and energy conservation measures were taken to exceed code requirements by using LED light fixtures, Mecho shades for daylight control, and balancing HVAC zones to best serve the function and the exposure. REVIT was integrated with the MEP subcontractors’ and dental vendor’s documents as part of the delegated design process. Clash detection utilizing Navisworks was helpful in completing the final construction documents.
